Sarasota, Florida, is the southwest Florida Suncoast, and was named by Money Magazine as one of 15 the country's most livable communities. The year-round good weather, famous white sand beaches and water sports, five star resorts, shopping, the charm of a southern town with the amenities of the big city (that attracts both visitors and residents), several islands barrier (keys) between Sarasota Bay and Gulf of Mexico (the largest is Longboat Key), gardens, and more, make Sarasota a nice place to visit or live.
Probably one of the best known landmarks in Sarasota is the John and Mable Ringling Museum of Art John Ringling bequeathed his mansion, property, and the art collection to the people of Florida at the time of his death in 1936. It was abandoned for many years until the government has changed from Florida State University Florida, which ended in 2007 the transformation of the Ringling estate in one of the greatest museum of university complexes in the nation. You can visit the magnificent mansion, a Learning Center, the historic Asolo Theater, and more.
The Sarasota Jungle Gardens is 10 acres of tropical vegetation and trails to explore. You can see many rare birds and endangered species, alligators in Florida, etc. You can enjoy bird and reptile shows that are put on twice a day. His "Kiddie Jungle" features a fairy tree, a tree house, and even a wooden train!
Another event for children to use is the Circus of Sarasota, with great performances from winter and early summer theater.
For those seeking cultural enrichment, there are international film festivals, numerous art galleries, the Sarasota Opera, Jazz Club, Comedy Theater, Sarasota Ballet, etc.
Mote Aquarium in the city of the island has more than 100 marine species on display, laboratory work, and even a "contact group". Have your lunch in a 1950-style Deep Sea Diner, which has an affordable family menu. You can take a boat tour from the right of Aquarius.
