Big 5 Restaurants in Siesta Key, Florida,

January 31, 2010 by · Leave a Comment

Siesta Key is a beautiful island off the coast of Sarasota, Florida. People flock to the island every year because they love the relaxed, bohemian feel old Florida beach. Siesta Key beach is known for its white sand that is 99 percent quartz. Even on hot summer days the sand feels cool and refreshing under your feet. Other interesting activities include fishing, walking the beach, swimming, snorkeling, boating, jet skiing, parasailing and dining out.

Here are 5 great restaurants that I like in Siesta Key:

1. Anna Deli and Sandwich Shop

Anna has been around since 1971. I love their sandwiches. My favorite sandwich is the "Surfer". It consists of ham, turkey, Swiss cheese, cucumber and Anna's famous sauce. If you are looking for a casual and affordable place to give them a chance. You will not be disappointed.

2. The Broken Egg

I took some clients to the broken egg a few weeks ago and loved it. Founded in 1984, the broken egg has been a tradition on the island for many years. It is a popular breakfast and lunch place in the village of Siesta Key. Some of the factors used for breakfast is Deep Dish Quiche du jour, Norwegian smoked salmon and bagels and Mexican skillet. A few weeks ago I ate smoked salmon and bagels and was delicious. For lunch you can always ask the name of Dickie V Burger one of the frequent customers a Dick Vitale.

3. Daiquiri Deck

Here is another popular dining and drinking destination in Siesta Key. It is a great place to enjoy a casual meal or cocktails in your bathing suit. Located in the center of town, this place is always happening. People from every age group can enjoy this fun restaurant. Some of his dishes include raw oysters, Caribbean chicken Cobb salad, mahi-mahi wrap, wrap red snapper, pepper-crusted tuna and coconut crusted tilapia. If you are looking for a relaxed and fun place to eat outside, try to cover Daiquiri.

4. Midnight Pass Pub Restaurant

Located at the southern tip of the island, this restaurant offers a great casual dining experience. It is directly across from the Turtle Beach so they can see people in their sand and swimsuits. I took some clients to lunch there recently and loved the simple salad. Since it is located in the extreme south of the island and outside the village of SK is a little calmer. However, it is still a great place to eat.

5. Ophelia's on the Bay

If you want to impress someone take Ophelia at bay. This is one of the best restaurants in Sarasota. Located at the southern end of Siesta Key and directly into the bay offers a fabulous dining experience while overlooking the magnificent views of Sarasota Bay. Ophelia is now in its 22nd season. It has a feeling of old Florida, dull, only a magnificent view of a sweep without water restrictions, mangroves, sea birds and an occasional boat or sliding down the dolphins. The restaurant is known for the evolution his style of American cuisine that is creative in combination with other cuisines. The combination of fresh seafood and fine meats with products grown in Florida, Ophelia's menu offers a fresh outbreak of a world that changes frequently.

I've eaten all these restaurants in Siesta Key, and recommended. They are unique in their own way and I do not be disappointed. If you are visiting Siesta Key, Florida, give them a chance.
